- Rudi Dassler dies in 1974 and his son Armin Dassler takes over the company
- Armin Dassler invents the Puma Duoflex sole in 1982
- In 1989 Rudi's sons sell Puma to the Cosa Lievermann Group who later sell it to the Aritmas Group of Sweden
- Jochen Zeitz was appointed as the CEO of Puma in 1993 and is still the CEO today
